Join Nanette Zeller on Saturday, October 31st from 1:00 to 4:00 pm for an introduction to Felting. You will learn the basics while making a small pouch, great for holding your ear buds, coins, etc. The price of the class includes all necessary supplies, tool usage, and instruction plus wool roving, art yarn and other fun fibers for felting. Please bring 2 or 3 thick old bath or hand towels and a couple of fun buttons (if you have them).
Felting is a technique that merges and blends wool fibers to create dense cloth-like fabric. If you have ever shrunk a wool sweater, then you have first-hand knowledge of felting. In this class, Nanette will introduce you to the art of needle and wet felting. By combining a variety of fibers, you will create colorful wool felt that can be used to make a small wallet or bracelet. Add your own beads, buttons and embroidered stitches to create a sophisticated and fun accessory.
