Join us on Saturday, June 12th from 12 noon to 4:00 pm for our Painting with Thread Class with Nanette Zeller.
Thread painting can also be described as free-motion embroidery. In this class students will learn the basic techniques needed to color with thread using a sewing machine. In a hands-on process, students will use fabrics, stabilizers, threads and other tools to create thread-painted designs.
Pre-requisite: Students must be familiar with the basic functions of a
sewing machine. For example, be able to sew a straight line, wind a bobbin, thread the machine, change the needle, adjust stitches, etc.
Students must bring their own sewing machines and are encouraged
to bring their own fabric, thread and other supplies, but an optional
kit is available for $20. See the supply list in the photo section and select your choice from the drop-down menu when registering.
