ARTworks Vass and James Creek Cider House are thrilled to debut a series of classes and events that will be held on location at James Creek Cider House. Welcome to the world of Barn Quilts! Make your very own Full Sized Wooden Flag, Sunflower or Double Cardinal or Cardinal Patterned Barn Quilt with Ken McNeill on Thursday, June 16th, from 5:30 to 8:00 at James Creek Cider. It’s easier than you think!
In this class you will create a 24 x 24 inch barn quilt. The surface will be primed and pre-taped so that you can jump right into painting. All class materials are provided, including hardware to hang your new barn quilt.
Select which pattern you would like from the drop-down menu.
Before the painting begins, Ken will give you a short demonstration on:
1) barn quilt design and layout
2) materials required
3) board preparation
4) taping and painting techniques
5) protecting your barn quilt, and
6) hanging and displaying your barn quilt
You'll also be able to purchase Nibbles and Sips, including James Creek's own Signature Ciders. (We suspect that Ken will be sipping one of his favorites, Summer Gold. What's your James Creek Cider of choice?!?)

- Cider and Other Refreshments will be available for purchase from James Creek Cider House.
- Registration allows for one person per class project. Only those registered can attend.
- Dress messy or bring your own apron if you'd like to use one.
- Class starts promptly so be sure to arrive on time.
- Registrations are non-refundable.
