2/25/23 Beginning Watercolor Painting Class with Beth Bale
Join Beth Bale on Saturday, Feb. 25th from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon as she teaches a beginning watercolor painting class for those wanting to experience the joy of learning this incredible artistic medium.
Beth has decades of painting experience and is a fun and encouraging teacher. You will learn about the tools used for painting in watercolor, basic watercolor painting techniques and also complete a painting of your own, following Beth's demonstration. Pets will be the focus of this class.
Students are to bring a close-up photo of a pet, and will be guided on how to sketch the photo on their paper (options of freehand and tracing methods will be offered and instruction given on each method). Then, Beth will guide you through the painting process. A few basic watercolor techniques will be discussed and time will be spent getting the sketch onto the watercolor paper prior to painting. While not required, you may send a few photo choices to info@artworksvass.com for Beth to review and advise on the best beginner-level photo to use.
Paint, paper, brushes and palette are provided but participants do need to bring some basic items also such as water containers, paper towels, and pencil, white or gray eraser, masking tape and a board to tape the paper onto (about 11"X14" board of masonite, plexiglass, cutting board, etc.)
Beginners are welcome, and those age fourteen and older are invited to attend. Parents with younger children may register for 2 class seats together, in order to join them in class.
Other Important Information:
- Registration allows for 1 person per class. Only those who have registered may participate.
- Aprons are not provided. You may bring your own if you wish.
- Class starts promptly, so be sure to arrive on time.
- Registrations are non-refundable.
