7/1/22 Beginning Wheel Throwing Pottery Class with Beth Roy
Have you always wanted to try throwing pottery on a wheel?!? Now's the time!
Join Beth Roy on Friday, July 1st from 1:00 to 4:00 pm as she teaches you how to center clay on a wheel, form a cylinder and ultimately make a bowl. Each student will make 2 pottery bowls that will be trimmed, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and fired again. Beth also demonstrates how the bottom of thrown pottery is trimmed.
Class size is limited to 4 students, 1 student per wheel.
Beginners are welcome, and those age fourteen and older are invited to attend. Parents with younger children may register for 2 class seats together, in order to join them in class.
The all inclusive price of this class includes supplies, tool usage, glaze selection, 2 kiln firings, and instruction.
Finally, we'll update you again when your pottery is ready for pickup. This entire process can take up to 2-3 weeks, depending on the humidity level, and the time that it takes pottery to thoroughly dry between kiln firings.
