10/4/23 Create a Glazed and Kiln Fired Vintage Style Lighted Ceramic Christmas Tree with Jean Skipper

It's time to create your own Vintage Style Lighted Ceramic Christmas Tree!
The tree that you create in this class is sure to become a beloved family heirloom, and it will make a festive addition to your holiday decor.
Class includes one Ceramic Chrstimas Tree in the size of your choice, a light kit, and a set of multi-colored twist lights. You'll have full use of our ceramic glaze colors, and while we'll have plenty of green and red on hand, there are lots of other colors to pick from too! If you have a special request, please add it in the comments when you register, and we'll be ready for you.
After class, your piece will be dried thoroughly, glazed in a clear coating, and fired in our kiln. You can expect it to be ready for pickup within 2 weeks of class, and in plenty of time to display for the holidays this year.
If you absolutely positively need your tree to go home with you on the night of class, please let us know in the comments when you register, and we'll prepare an alternative selection of acrylic paints for you in the classroom. Trees that are painted with acrylics are less shiny than their kiln-fired counterparts, and they're also slightly less durable.
Beginners, and adults with all levels of experience, are welcome to participate, as are children age 14 and older. Children age 13 and under may attend if accompanied by an adult. Both adult and child must register for class, and each will create their own project. Bear in mind that, because of the materials involved and the tools used, a few of our classes are not particularly child-friendly. Please err on the side of caution, and If in doubt, call us to discuss your situation before registering.
Other Important Information:
- At ARTworks Vass, you're always welcome to bring your own Nibbles and Sips to class. (Bonus points if you bring extra to share!)
- Registration allows for one person per class project.
- Only registered guests may attend class.
- Registrations are non-refundable.
- Class starts promptly as scheduled.
- Dress to mess or bring an apron.
