Your Family Name, Town Name, or Favorite Word will be painted on an ornament in the same style as this one designed by Kathleen Miller. Where the words, "Christmas in North Carolina" are shown, she'll place the custom wording of your choice. For your convenience, we've prompted the name of several of our neighboring communities in this listing, and we've also provided an option for you to "Write Your Own" wording.
Order early to avoid disappointment. We'll accommodate requests in the order that they're received, and this offer will end when Kathleen's painting schedule reaches capacity.
Regardless of what it says at checkout here, your finished Custom Ornaments will generally be ready for pickup or shipping within 3 weeks of the time that you place your order.
Kathleen Miller, Resident Artist at ARTworks Vass, lives in Southern Pines, North Carolina. She took her first painting class over forty years ago. That class instilled a lifetime of passion for Traditional Decorative Painting, and it drove her to hone her skills while capturing realistic and recognizable images in her work.
While she's well known for her floral subjects and popular Classes at ARTworks Vass, her still life and landscape paintings reflect a love for nostalgic images and our historic past. Kathleen travels as often as possible to New England and Colonial Williamsburg in search of historic inspiration, and she's equally drawn to historic sites right here in North Carolina.
Kathleen has been accredited by the International Society of Decorative Painters, and her work has been featured in the White House, the Smithsonian, and the Folk Art Museum in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
