11/23/24 - Paint Your Favorite Furry Animal - Intermediate Watercolor Painting with Beth Bale
Calling all experienced artists! Dive into the world of watercolor painting in our upcoming intermediate level class!
Join Beth Bale on Saturday, November 23rd from 9:00 to noon to elevate your skills to new heights. Bring inspiration photos of your favorite furry animal and let your creativity flow with each brushstroke. Don't miss this opportunity to refine your craft and bring your artistic visions to life!
Prerequisite: Previously completed at least one watercolor painting series with Beth or you are an experienced watercolor painter. No true beginners for this class please.
Beth will review relevant watercolor techniques for painting a furry animal and demonstrate her painting technique for fur, eyes, and more. This class will spend the first hour or so with techniques and demo, including discussion of composition, while leaving the majority of the class for participants to paint and receive input on their works in progress as requested. Participants will create a painting of their choice of furry animal. Questions about your photo are welcome. Contact Beth at [email protected].
Beth is an experienced and encouraging teacher who loves to see her students learn and enjoy the process of watercolor painting. She gives feedback as requested and classes are very low-pressure and aim to provide opportunities for artistic growth while being fun and joyful. Beth’s 30+ years of watercolor experience gives her the ability to guide even very experienced watercolor painters toward higher-level skills.
Supplies: Students should bring their own painting supplies including paint, paper, palette, brushes, water container, pencil/eraser, painting board or watercolor block, masking tape, and paper/cloth towels.
Beth is a member of Chatham Artists Guild, Sanford Brush and Palette Club and is a signature member of the Watercolor Society of NC. She has won awards from WSNC, Chatham Artists Guild and Sanford Brush and Palette Club for her watercolor paintings of nature and animals in a colorful and loose style, with focus on light and shadow. Beth teaches students to paint with freedom and fun, with a no-pressure style that helps students find their own style and preferences. You can see her work at ARTworks Vass.
