5/29/25 - Paint Your Pet, Favorite Animal or Landscape with Ken McNeill
Unleash your inner artist in this fun and encouraging painting class led by Ken McNeill on Thursday, May 29th from 1:00–4:00. Whether you want to capture the charm of your beloved pet—be it a cat, dog, lizard, fish, or even a pig—or you feel inspired by nature’s beauty, this hands-on workshop is perfect for all skill levels.
Ken’s relaxed, supportive teaching style will guide you step by step as you bring your chosen subject to life on canvas. Even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush, you’ll be amazed at what you can create. Just bring your enthusiasm—and get ready for a fun afternoon full of color, creativity, and inspiration!
After registering, please email three photos of the same pet/animal or one landscape photo to: [email protected]. Ken will prepare your 11x14 or 12x12 canvas with a pre-drawn outline based on your images and select the best photo and canvas size to set you up for success.

About the Instructor:
Ken McNeill lives in Sanford, NC. By day, he’s an electrical engineer, but his true passion comes alive in his artwork, where he swaps structure for spontaneity. His paintings burst with color, character, and heart—and he’s excited to help you discover your own creative spark.
Important Information:
- Beginners are welcome.
- Children age 14 and older may attend class independently.
- Children under age 14 may join this class if a responsible adult also registers to attend and participate with them.
- Registration allows for one Guest per class project.
- Only Registered Guests may attend class.
- Registrations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
- Class starts promptly as scheduled.
- At ARTworks Vass, you're always welcome to bring your own Nibbles and Sips to class.
- Dress to mess or bring an apron.
