6/30/25 - Hand Build Two (2) Pottery Chickens - North Carolina Pottery with Beth Roy
Calling all chicken lovers and creative souls!
Join us for a fun, hands-on pottery class on Monday, June 30th, from 5:30–8:30, where you’ll handcraft two delightful pottery chickens to keep or gift. Led by Beth Roy, this workshop begins with a demonstration of hand-building techniques. Then, it's your turn to shape, texture, and bring your chickens to life—finishing with your selection of glaze color to make each one uniquely yours.
Whether you're a total beginner or an experienced potter, this class is perfect for all skill levels. All materials and instruction are provided—just bring your imagination!
Create whimsical art for your home or give a heartfelt handmade gift. Spaces are limited, so don’t miss your chance to join the flock!
*Overall size of your pieces are limited to approximately 9" and 5" in width, length and height. Anything larger will incur an additional $40 fee, payable in class.
This all inclusive price includes instruction, tool usage, glaze selection, and 2 kiln firings.
This entire process can take up to 4 weeks, depending on the humidity level, and the time that it takes pottery to thoroughly dry between kiln firings. We'll update you again when your pottery is ready for pickup.
Important Information:
- Beginners welcome
- Registration allows for 1 person per class. Only those who have registered may participate.
- Children age 14 and older may attend class independently.
- Registrations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
- Class starts promptly, so be sure to arrive on time.
- Dress to mess or bring an apron!
- At ARTworks Vass, you're always welcome to bring your own Nibbles and Sips to class.
- You will be notified when your project is ready to pick up. We will hold it for 90 days with monthly notifications by text or phone. If you haven't requested an extension or picked up your work within 90 days, your project will be disposed of at the gallery's discretion.
