11/28/25 - The Vass Tree Lighting at ARTworks Vass!
Ring in The Holidays with us on Friday, November 28th, from 5:00 and 8:00 during the 8th Annual Tree Lighting in Vass.

This is an evening that sets the tone for the holiday season in our Community, and you won’t want to miss it! Our sweet small town tree lighting ceremony with live music, food trucks, and tons of activities for the young and the young-at-heart will make you feel like you’re on the set of aHallmark Christmas Movie.
Barb Kennerly, Art Teacher at Vass Lakeview Elementary School, designed a different ornament for each grade level and she’s been working with students to create more than 600 ornaments for the new Seasonal Arch that will be erected especially for the festivities. Santa and his elves will be receiving guests to hear their wish lists and for free photo opportunities under the arch in a custom wooden sleigh that was lovingly hand built by Lindsy Wilson of Vass.
Held in front of ARTworks Vass and Crossroads Coffee, the Tree Lighting is located at 129 Main Steet, Vass, North Carolina, 28394. Free parking is available in the area at the parking lot of the rescue squad, the Vass Town Hall, area churches, the Piggly Wiggly, and on Seaboard Street.

What You Should Know to Attend:
- The Tree Lighting In Vass is a Free Family Friendly Event, and all are welcome!
- Bring your cell phone or a camera to take pictures. (Tag your pictures with #TreeLightingInVass or #CatchTheBuzzInVass to be entered to be entered to win prizes.)
- Bring a folding chair so that you can relax and enjoy nibbles, sips, and live music throughout the evening.
- Alma Street and the parking lot in front of ARTworks Vass will be blocked beginning at 4:00 on Friday afternoon, and a significant part of the parking lot will be blocked earlier that day. Thank you for bearing with the inconvenience of this. We promise that it will be worth it!
- Parking is available in the Rescue Squad Parking Lot on Main Street, at the Vass Town Hall (Be sure to enter from the back, as that portion of Alma Street will be open.), at The Piggly Wiggly, and on Seaboard Street. Other area parking may also be available. When parking, remember that roads still need to be passable for traffic, and sidewalks shouldn't be blocked. Please also respect the lawns and gardens of our neighbors.
