3/30/26 - Birdhouse Pottery Class with Beth Roy at ARTworks Vass
Create a beautiful handmade birdhouse that’s as functional as it is artistic!
Join artist and instructor Beth Roy on Monday, Mar. 30th from 6:00 to 9:00 for this fun and creative pottery workshop.
You’ll begin by shaping and assembling your birdhouse form, then cut the entrance opening and add thoughtful design details that make your piece truly one of a kind. Explore a variety of decorative techniques including carving, texture tools, sculpted accents, and creative surface patterns. You’ll also learn how to add a hanging loop so your finished birdhouse can be displayed indoors as art or outdoors as a welcoming shelter for feathered visitors.
This class is perfect for beginners and experienced clay artists alike. Beth’s encouraging teaching style ensures everyone feels comfortable and successful, no matter your experience level.
After class, Beth will carefully dry, kiln fire, glaze, and kiln fire your work again. Finished items will be ready for pickup about 4 weeks after class, depending on drying time and humidity. We'll notify you when it's ready!
All materials, tools, instruction, one glaze color selection, two kiln firings and expert instruction are included.

- Beginners welcome
- Dress to mess or bring an apron!
- Children age 14 and older may attend class independently.
- Children under age 14 may join this class if a responsible adult also registers to attend and participate with them.
- Registration allows for 1 person per class. Only those who have registered may participate.
- Registrations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
- Class starts promptly, so be sure to arrive on time.
- At ARTworks Vass, you're always welcome to bring your own Nibbles and Sips to class.
- You will be notified when your project is ready to pick up. We will hold it for 90 days with monthly notifications by text or phone. If you haven't requested an extension or picked up your work within 90 days, your project will be disposed of at the gallery's discretion.
