4/3/26 - Hand Built Tea Pot Pottery Class with Beth Roy at ARTworks Vass
Create a stunning handmade teapot that’s both functional and a true work of art!
Join artist and instructor Beth Roy on Friday, Apr. 3rd from 12:00 to 3:00 for this hands-on pottery class where you’ll learn how to hand build your own teapot from clay using slab-building techniques.
You’ll begin by forming the body of your teapot, then learn how to shape and attach a graceful spout, sculpt a comfortable handle, and design a custom lid with a unique decorative finial. Along the way, you’ll explore techniques for proper construction, clean attachments, and thoughtful design so your teapot pours beautifully and looks elegant from every angle.
While this class is geared toward experienced clay artists, beginners are welcome. A limited class size and Beth’s encouraging teaching style ensures everyone feels comfortable and successful, no matter your experience level.
After class, Beth will carefully dry, kiln fire, glaze, and kiln fire your work again. Finished items will be ready for pickup about 4 weeks after class, depending on drying time and humidity. We'll notify you when it's ready!
All materials, tools, instruction, one glaze color selection, two kiln firings and expert instruction are included.

- Beginners welcome
- Dress to mess or bring an apron!
- Children age 14 and older may attend class independently.
- Children under age 14 may join this class if a responsible adult also registers to attend and participate with them.
- Registration allows for 1 person per class. Only those who have registered may participate.
- Registrations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
- Class starts promptly, so be sure to arrive on time.
- At ARTworks Vass, you're always welcome to bring your own Nibbles and Sips to class.
- You will be notified when your project is ready to pick up. We will hold it for 90 days with monthly notifications by text or phone. If you haven't requested an extension or picked up your work within 90 days, your project will be disposed of at the gallery's discretion.
