Create a Serving Piece as Unique as Your Gatherings! 🍇🧀


Join Beth Roy on Monday, April 27th from 6:00 to 9:00 for a fun and creative Pottery Slab Building Class where you’ll design and build your own Free Form Charcuterie Dish similar to the photos shown.


These beautiful serving pieces feature flowing organic shapes with built-in sections—perfect for cheeses, crackers, olives, dips, nuts, and all your favorite grazing treats.


Using slabs of clay, you’ll learn how to cut, shape, and assemble curved walls and compartments to create a one-of-a-kind charcuterie tray. The free-form design means no two pieces will ever be the same! You’ll also explore texture techniques to add decorative patterns before choosing from a selection of studio glazes to finish your piece.


This class is perfect for beginners and experienced clay lovers alike. Beth will guide you step-by-step through the process so you can relax, get creative, and enjoy the magic of working with clay.


After class, Beth will carefully dry, kiln fire, glaze, and kiln fire your work again. Finished items will be ready for pickup about 4 weeks after class, depending on drying time and humidity. We'll notify you when it's ready!


All materials, tools, instruction, one glaze color selection, two kiln firings and expert instruction are included.


Important Information: 

  • Beginners welcome
  • Dress to mess or bring an apron!
  • Children age 14 and older may attend class independently.
  • Children under age 14 may join this class if a responsible adult also registers to attend and participate with them.
  • Registration allows for 1 person per class. Only those who have registered may participate.
  • Registrations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
  • Class starts promptly, so be sure to arrive on time.
  • At ARTworks Vass, you're always welcome to bring your own Nibbles and Sips to class.
  • You will be notified when your project is ready to pick up.  We will hold it for 90 days with monthly notifications by text or phone. If you haven't requested an extension or picked up your work within 90 days, your project will be disposed of at the gallery's discretion.
