This week-long camp will provide your children the many fun learning opportunities that combine robotics, character development, story telling, and miniature painting, as led by the mother-son dynamic duo of Tina and Dillan Fox,


This Creative Kids Art and Technology Camp will be held from June 29th through July 3rd, and every day of camp will hold an new adventure for your children.


Your Children will have more fun than you can possibly imagine as they build confidence, develop skills in multiple disciplines, and enjoy the camraderie of their new friends in our creative classes.


We enter each camp week with a well-planned curriculum that includes a ton of variety for your Children. We also allow room for flexibility to adjust our camp schedule and our camp projects based on the needs and preferences of the registered guests in attendance.


Our Planned Schedule for Mornings During Camp Includes The Following:

  • TIna Fox, who teaches high school in Apex, North Carolina will lead these sessions.
  • On Monday, Campers can expect to discuss the characteristics that make up an interesting and engaging charachter, both verbally and in writing, as they learn about the materials and resources that will be available to them throughout the week.
  • On Tuesday, They'll dive into creating their very own One-of-a-Kind Robot - "The Money Bank Robot" is hungry for money! Upon completion, each child will be able to place a coin on their robot's tray, and watch as their robot swallows the coin into its mouth! The Money Bank Robot, the perfect blend of creativity and education, and will introduce campers to the fascinating world of robotics. It not only encourages hands-on play and imaginative exploration, but also helps develop vital STEM skills, making it a must-have for budding engineers and tech enthusiasts.
  • On Wednesday, each camper will begin to construct their very own One-of-a-Kind Mixed Media Found Object Robot from the plans that they made on Monday.
  • On Thursday, Robot construction will continue, along with a deeper dive into the types of activities that their robot will be programmed to do. Tina will have several computer cells with herll discuss the materialswho teaches high school in Apex, North Carolina will lead these sessions.


Our Planned Schedule for Afternoonss During Camp Includes The Following:

  • Dillan Fox, Tina's son, will step in to lead these sesssions.
  • Tina, with years of teaching experience, will act as his teaching assistant for the week.




Schedule for Full Day Campers

  • Camp will be held Monday through Friday.
  • Drop Off will be from 8:45 until 9:00.
  • Morning Sessions will be from 9:00 until 12:00.
  • Lunch will be from 12:00 until 1:00.
  • Afternoon sessions will be from 1:00 until 4:00.
  • Pickup will be at 4:00.


Schedule for Morning Only Campers

  • Camp will be held Monday through Friday.
  • Drop-off will be from 8:45 until 9:00.
  • Morning Sessions will be from 9:00 until 12:00.
  • Pickup will be at 12:00.


Schedule for Afternoon Only Campers

  • Camp will be held Monday through Friday.
  • Drop Off will be from 12:45 until 1:00.
  • Afternoon sessions will be from 1:00 until 4:00.
  • Pickup will be at 4:00.


If you need to arrange early drop off or pick up for your Campers, please text the specific details of your request to ARTworks Vass Owner, Jean Skipper, at 910-528-1109 before registering. She'll do everything in her power to accommodate the unique needs of your family.


Ages of Campers

  • We invite Children who are rising 2nd Graders through rising 8th Graders to participate in Camps.
  • Regardless of age, Campers should be able to function fairly independently in our classrooms during camp.
  • Campers should also be able to function independently in our bathrooms.
  • Adults are not permitted to register as students in camp.
  • If you'd like to stay close to your Children without being next to them in the classroom with our Campers, text the specifics of your situation to Jean at 910-528-1109, and she'll do her best to accommodate your unique situation.
  • If you're Children are slightly younger or slightly older than the age range stated here, and if you're confident that they'd be a good fit for our Camps, before registering text the specifics of your situation to Jean at 910-528-1109, and she'll do her best to accommodate your request.


Price of Camps

  • Camp pricing is all inclusive, and it includes supplies, instruction, kiln firings for glass and pottery, and almost anything else that you can imagine.
  • Full day camps are priced at $549.
  • Half day camps are priced at $289.
  • If you'd like to make incremental payments for the cost of camp, please text Jean directly at 910-528-1109, and she'll be happy to work through the details with you.


Registration Information

  • At this time, Camp registration will be accepted for the full week only, and not for individual days.
  • When registering, answer the questions in this listing for 1 child at a time.
  • Add that child's camp preferences to your cart.
  • Repeat the process individually for each child that you're registering.
  • When all children have been registered, proceed to your cart and checkout.
  • Registration allows for one Guest to attend. 
  • Only Registered Guests may attend camp.
  • Registrations are non-refundable.


With Regard to Pottery and Ceramic Projects

  • Pottery projects created during this camp will need to be dried thoroughly and kiln fired once before they can be glazed; this generally happens within two weeks of each camp.
  • Ceramic projects will be glazed during camp, and will be ready for pickup within two weeks of camp.
  • We'll send you a text when all projects are ready, and your children will be invited to visit the gallery to glaze their pottery projects at your family's convenience.
  • This can happen anytime during our regular business hours, Monday through Saturday, from 9:30 until 5:30, as long as you can start glazing before 4:00.
  • We're also open on the second Wednesday of each month until 7:00, and on the Final Friday of each month until 8:00, and glazing may be completed then too.
  • If you'd prefer not to return to glaze, you may opt for your children to finish these pieces with acrylic paints at home after their first kiln firing.


Other Important Information About Camps at ARTworks Vass

  • We ask that a responsible adult present their children to our instructor in the classroom at the beginning of each class session, and pick them up inside of our classroom at the end of the day.
  • Expect us to confirm your cell phone number and possible health concerns upon arrival.
  • Under no circumstances will your Children be permitted to wait outside for pickup.
  • Camp sessions start and end promptly as scheduled.
  • Dress your Children to get messy or send an apron with them.
  • For half day camps, plan to send your child with a nut-free snack and a drink with a lid.
  • For full day camps, please send your child with a nut-free snack and a drink for the morning and the afternoon sessions, and also send lunch with them.
  • Please note that three extremely friendly cats make their home at ARTworks Vass, and plan accordingly with regard to allergies.
  • We will ask your children not to pursue or pick up the cats.
  • Instead they'll be instructed to wait until the cats approach them for a visit.
  • Do not send your Children to camp if they've experienced flu-like symptoms within 24 hours of camp.
  • Do not send your Children to camp after an illness unless they've been fever-free for 24 hours before camp without the use of a fever-reducing medication.

  • Class registrations are nonrefundable and your scheduled classes cannot be changed after registration.
