8/31/26 - Hand-Build a Whimsical Openwork Pottery Bowl with Beth Roy at ARTworks Vass
Join Beth Roy on Monday, Aug. 31st at 5:30 to turn yards of clay coil into a stunning work of art! In this fun and creative hand-building class, you'll create a beautiful openwork pottery bowl featuring flowing loops and graceful curves, similar to the one pictured. No pottery wheel is required—just your imagination and a willingness to play with clay!
Beth will guide you step-by-step through shaping, assembling, and refining your bowl using hand-building techniques. Whether you envision it as a fruit bowl, centerpiece, yarn holder, or simply a unique piece of art, you'll leave with a one-of-a-kind creation that's sure to spark conversation.
Come bend, twist, and loop your way into creating a pottery piece that's as fun to make as it is to display!
Perfect for beginners and experienced clay artists alike.
After the class, your bowl will be professionally fired and glazed in your choice of available glaze colors, then ready for pickup in a few weeks.
Once completed, you'll select a glaze color from our available options.
After class, Beth will carefully dry, kiln fire, glaze, and kiln fire your work again. Finished items will be ready for pickup about 4 weeks after class, depending on drying time and humidity. We'll notify you when it's ready!
All materials, tools, instruction, one glaze color selection, two kiln firings and expert instruction are included.

- Please note: ARTworks Vass is home to friendly gallery/studio cats who may be present during classes and events. 🐾
- Children age 14 and older may attend class independently.
- Children under age 14 may join this class if a responsible adult also registers to attend and participate with them.
- Registration allows for 1 person per class. Only those who have registered may participate.
- Registrations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
- Class starts promptly, so be sure to arrive on time.
- At ARTworks Vass, you're always welcome to bring your own Nibbles and Sips to class.
- You will be notified when your project is ready to pick up. We will hold it for 90 days with monthly notifications by text or phone. If you haven't requested an extension or picked up your work within 90 days, your project will be disposed of at the gallery's discretion.
