3/21, 3/22 & 3/23/2020 Digging Deeper: The Art of Zen Flow Abstract Painting with Jodi Ohl
In art, we can take elements of the season and create a personal experience through our painting. Slow down, infuse the colors of the season and dig down deep to tell your story in a way that has been influenced by where you are, right here, and right now.
- Saturday and Sunday, March 21-22, class is from 9am to 4pm with lunch provided.
- Monday, March 23, class is from 9am to 12 noon with a free optional open studio from 12 noon to 4pm.
In this course we will be creating in a new version of Jodi’s Zen Painting process, titled, “Zen Flow” using abstract design that is a bit softer and more flowing than traditional Zen Abstracts. Be influenced by the vibrant spring colors around you if you choose. In addition to creating flowing abstract designs, we will also incorporate additional mixed media drawing tool such as crayons, colored pencils, paint markers, and more. Take a pause from the chaos of everyday life and revel in the reflections of the season, by doing so, your art will reveal what is deep down within you. As you grow as an artist, that emotional bond with your art is what will really enable you to find a voice and style of your own.
