Join Kaiti Chenard on Monday, May 18th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm to make a fused glass tray. Two tray style options are available; with divided compartments and with out. Choose your colors and layering techniques.
Learn about fused glass design fundamentals while playing with colored glass. You will design your tray using many different colors of glass. Kaiti will take your projects home to fire them in her home kiln and will return your finished project to the gallery. Every effort will be made to get your fused project to you 2 weeks after class.
Glass fusing is the joining together of pieces of glass at high temperature using a kiln. Tack fusing is done at lower temperatures, in which separate pieces of glass stick together while retaining their individual shapes. Full Fusing is done at higher temperatures in which separate pieces merge smoothly into one another.
All supplies are included. No experience is necessary and those aged 14 and older are welcome to attend.
At ARTworks Vass, we encourage you to bring your artful heart along with nibbles and sips to make your experience even more joyful. BYO wine and beer is welcome.
