Kathleen Miller, Resident Artist at ARTworks Vass, lives in Southern Pines, North Carolina. She took her first painting class over forty years ago. That class instilled a lifetime of passion for Traditional Decorative Painting, and it drove her to hone her skills while capturing realistic and recognizable images in her work.
While she's well known for her floral subjects and popular Beginners Classes at ARTworks Vass, her still life and landscape paintings reflect a love for nostalgic images and our historic past. Kathleen travels as often as possible to New England and Colonial Williamsburg in search of historic inspiration, and she's equally drawn to historic sites right here in North Carolina.
Kathleen has been accredited by the International Society of Decorative Painters, and her work has been featured in the White House, the Smithsonian, and the Folk Art Museum in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
