Establish a new tradition as you create One-of-a-Kind Lampwork Glass Beads in a flame with Debbie Keen! You'll make beautiful beads, and memories to last a lifetime. Debbie lives in Southern Pines. During this workshop experience, she'll break down the lampwork process into manageable steps, and you'll be proud and amazed by your finished results.
Debbie Keen’s art is born at the intersection of lampworking and jewelry design. Lampworking makes use of a torch to melt glass. Once in a molten state, the glass is blown, shaped, and embellished. She uses only the finest, imported glass rods that are warmed into molten states, then manipulated into beads and adorned with smaller threads of glass to create rich textures.
Each glass bead can stand alone in its beauty, and Debbie joins them with the highest quality Sterling Silver, Swarovski Crystals, Cultured Pearls, Gemstones, and other Treasures in her work to create her wearable art known as The Keen Collection.
