From an ordinary day to a special night on the town, this bracelet will be perfect for any occasion!

This Pressed Glass and Solid Copper Bracelet was handcrafted one link at a time by Jean Skipper of Vass, North Carolina. Yours will be created in the length of your choicejust for you in the length of your order. (The last photos show the matching earrings and necklace that ares also available.)

Jean’s jewelry is created from solid copper, brass, sterling silver, gemstones, cultured pearls, Swarovski Crystals, vintage treasures, found objects, and other odds and ends. The textures, sayings, and sentiments on each piece are stamped or etched by hand. Where some see the discarded, Jean sees possibilities and history. She loves to repurpose things, and this gives her jewelry a whimsical and sentimental feeling.

The industrial nature of Jean’s work was most influenced by her Father and Grandfather. Her Dad was a steelworker in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and he raised her with an appreciation for metals and tools of all kinds. Her grandfather was an avid collector of the discarded, long before it was cool to be one, and he passed along the thrill of the hunt to her.

Not to be outdone, Jean’s Mother, Grandmothers, Aunts, and Uncles all taught Jean the value of family and connection. She credits them with teaching her about the importance of Community, and insists that most of what she’s learned about coordinating retreats, classes, and special events at ARTworks Vass is a direct result of their family gatherings.

A little bit of Jean’s love of Family, Art, and Community go into everything that she does.

When you shop online with ARTworks Vass, you can expect...

... to find a little extra treat in every package as our way of saying “Thank You!".

... free gift wrapping and a hand written gift card upon request. (Buying for a friend? We’ve got you covered. A gift for yourself? Who are we to judge!)

... no paper copy of your invoice to be included in your order. Ever.

... a separate email invoice in the amount of your actual shipping costs, without making a profit on them. With this in mind, your actual shipping costs will be invoiced to you separately by email after your purchase has been mailed. For domestic shipping of jewelry to the Lower 48 States, you can expect your shipping cost to be $5ish. Higher amounts should be anticipated for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and countries outside of the United States.
